Kill 29 - Voice

Heads.

[That's Kazuo's voice followed by a moment of silence. Then suddenly there's the sound of a coin dropping to the floor before another voice comes on.]

For fuck's sake. [And that one is Katniss, the disgust in her voice clear.]

[ooc: So Kazuo and Katniss are orphans who are also amazing hitmen. They work together and flip a coin to decide who gets to do things. What did the coin decide this time?

Good question. You should ask them.]

I did not ask.

[He looks at his device again. Perhaps he should. The money doesn't really mean much to him though. They can always get some when they need it.

But instead of doing that, he decides to check out his weapons.]

He said a lot.

I'll ask.

[ From her place on the bed, her fingertips running through the diamonds at her side, she watches the checking of the weapons, and makes a mental note to revamp her own arsenal again soon; they don't share. Their choices of firearms, and everything else, are too specific to them.

Anyway, she stays silent while waiting for the potential client to answer.

[Naturally Kazuo nods. He has no reason to argue with the decision. Besides, it will determine if they take the job or not.

Though, he should probably get the coin again. Since they will probably be flipping for that job too if Katniss decides they will do it.]

A grand, give or take.

[ She says out loud more to herself than Kazuo though she knows he'll take note of it. ]

He says there should be at least a dozen guys. If he wants us to take out all of them...

[ In a pinch, one of them could manage it but they'd have to play the subtlety card, but if it's the both of them it amounts to a bloodbath and a quick exit. She weighs the two options. ]

[identity profile] deadliest6.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[He looks up from the gun he is putting bullets in and tilts his head to the side. She's not asking for his opinion but he can still hear her.]

We are doing it?

[identity profile] aimandfire.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Fifteen thousand, give or take.

[ Which is as good as saying yes but she adds on just in case: ]

Yeah, I guess so.

Both of us. We have to get everyone, and clean up afterward.

[identity profile] deadliest6.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
When?

[He watches her, waiting for that answer.]

[identity profile] aimandfire.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Not sure yet. I'm going to contact him again tomorrow.

If it interferes with the job you just agreed to take, I'll figure something else out.

[identity profile] deadliest6.livejournal.com 2011-07-16 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
It will be finished tonight.

[He puts the gun into his bag and slings it over his shoulder. Of course he doesn't bother to say goodbye. He never does that.

The implication is simple. He is heading out now and will be back in a few hours.]

[identity profile] aimandfire.livejournal.com 2011-07-17 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
[ Nodding, Katniss watches him and when he's gone she deadbolts the door; the have things worked out.

When he's done, when he's a block away, he'll message her and she'll unbolt it.

Until then, it's better safe than sorry. A few times a hotel deadbolt has saved both of them from being discovered so she never underrates it.
]

[identity profile] deadliest6.livejournal.com 2011-07-17 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
[And he heads back several hours later, stopping just long enough exactly a block a way to say he's almost there.

He is very punctual. Always.]

[ When Kazuo comes back, there's a note left on his bed:

Everything is in order as it should be otherwise.
