I can't understand that kind of game.

I have heard the premise… I just don’t understand why anyone would want to watch or participate in that kind of game. The government of that world must be truly corrupt.

The games are not watched. Families do not learn the results until a winner is decided.

Participation is also by force.

Then the entire event has no purpose or reason of any kind…?
That really only makes it worse.
