[The face of a handsome boy comes onto the screen. His eyes are cold and his hair slicked back. For awhile he just stares at the screen, tilting his head like he might be curious but there are no signs of that emotion on his face nor a flicker in his eyes. There's a pause then the screen goes blank as he tries out a filter.]

[Rather than his face reappearing, his voice comes over the line.]

Mm. Where am I?

[ooc: Kazuo has just arrived and is hanging out by the fountain. Action is open to anyone. And anyone who would notice him playing with the filters is free to notice and even to notice the levels changing. Have fun!]

[Looking up, he regards the girl. Not someone he recognizes but that is to be expected apparently. Still, he sees no reason not to communicate with her since she spoke first.]

[She gives him a once-over too, making little to nothing of the coldness in his eyes, though she thinks it a little unusual.] I take it people explained this place to you via the Network?

Yeah, that one. [She nods at it, interpreting his gesture as one of curiosity alright. Or relief. Perhaps there's that too. Not that it shows on his face or anything.] It's the most usual form of arrival, believe it or not!

Those are apartment buildings. You can get yourself a place to stay in any of them -- just pick any vacant room and make yourself comfortable.

[She seems to be reacting negatively to him. That is his observation but he otherwise ignores it.]

Minors are taken care of by the City. [A fact.]

That doesn't mean getting a job wouldn't be a good idea, though. You never know! You may need extra cash for something.

[Well, it's not outright negatively. She's just weirded out by his expressionless... ness. So she gives him this Look.]

Not to pry or anything. But... you look like you're weathered for hardship, as the saying goes. [Stares right back unabashedly.]

But looking at the up side? This place won't be too harsh on you if you have experience with tough times.
